The Sceal Network So - exactly how does this Sceal Network thing work anyhow? The Sceal network is an Irish information portal.Please... allow me to explain ![]()
You can think of it as a hub or net which appears on peoples list when they search for anything Irish in New Zealand. This is achieved by linking together relevant information about you site with other similar sites around New Zealand. Why is this a good thing? It's all about the Customer flow. You want people who care about your community to find your website. This is good, because, more often than not, they will only go to your site if they care about what your community has to offer. So this is all making sense so far - right? ![]() The hard part is when that person goes to a search engine and tries to find what they want - it's hit and miss whether they'll get your site. Don't believe the hype about Search Engine Optimisation. SEO will only work for targetted KEYWORDs. You can't guarantee what your customer is going to type on any given day! Sceal uses SEO but in a slightly different way. We don't target KEYWORDS we target KEYCOMMUNITIES. So let's say that someone is looking for irish social events in Auckland - they hit the Irish Society for example. Well, Auckland Irish is on the Sceal network - from there they can immediately hook into the Auckland GAA, Irish Dancing NZ or other Irish sport communities. And from there - it's up to the community themselves to ensure the customer has the info they need. Still not seeing how this helps? Well, a more direct way of saying it is, when you join the Sceal network, then you direct traffic to the Irish Community - BUT more importantly - the greater Irish Community diverts RELEVANT traffic towards you. Everyone benefits. |
